About the ANZ Reward Visa Credit Card

Since opening their first office in Melbourne in the late 1830s, ANZ has grown to become one of the 50 largest banking institutions in the world, boasting with a presence in the US, UK, Germany and the greatest part of the Asian-Pacific. They collected no less than 15 awards and accolades over the past two years in recognition of their contribution to the communities they serve, the overall performance of their business and the quality of the products they have on offer.

When you look at their history, it is clear that ANZ often leads the way in product development. A recent example of this is chip technology. ANZ was the first local bank to incorporate this technology in the ANZ credit card. The same holds true for product redevelopment, with the Telestra Visa Card serving as an appropriate example. ANZ recognised that ANZ credit card holders prefer flexibility in terms of credit card reward schemes. As a result, they completely re-engineered the original Telestra rewards scheme, and officially re-launched this popular ANZ credit card in September 2004 under the name, ANZ Reward Visa.

The ANZ Reward Visa offers you the opportunity to decide how you redeem your points and on what: as a credit against your ANZ Reward Visa card account, for shopping vouchers, frequent flyer miles or a variety of valuable and useful merchandise, including iPods, tyres and flat screen televisions.

Point earnings are equally flexible. As a holder of the ANZ Reward Visa card, you earn points every time you swipe your ANZ credit card. If this happens to be at an ANZ Reward Visa partner establishment, you get to earn bonus points. For example, purchases of A$100 or more at Fast Flowers currently triple the rewards points you earn with your ANZ credit card.

Who is best suited to the ANZ Reward Visa Credit Card?

The ANZ Reward Visa card is ideal for those consumers who use their credit cards frequently and who tend to pay their credit card bills in full when these fall due. As the interest rate on purchases is fair, carrying balances on the ANZ credit card is an option.

To qualify for an ANZ Reward Visa card, you need to be 18 years or older, earn a minimum of A$15,000 per year, hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency and have a good credit history. Non-permanent residents may apply for this ANZ credit card if they earn A$50,000 per year, or more.

Some Key Features of the ANZ Reward Visa Credit Card

The rewards scheme on offer with this ANZ credit card is generous. You earn 1 point per A$1.50 spent on all your everyday purchases both locally and internationally. Bonus points are earned from the many local bonus partners, in some cases even tripling the points earned on purchases made with your ANZ Reward Visa.

You also earn additional points if you are approved for other ANZ products, such as home- and car loans. A requirement of the ANZ credit card reward scheme is that you spend the points accrued within 36 months from the 31st of December of the year in which these were earned.

The ANZ Reward Visa credit card also offers:
