Credit Card
You must
be a Qantas Frequent Flyer program member in order to earn and redeem
Qantas points on the AMEX Qantas Premium card. Using this frequent
flyer credit card for everyday purchases earns you 1.25 Qantas Frequent
Flyer points for every dollar spent. But you can earn more points: 1
extra point for every dollar spent in Australia with Qantas and
American Express Bonus Partners; and, 1 extra point for every dollar
spent on Qantas Services in Australia (Qantas passenger flights; Qantas
Travel Shops; Qantas Holidays).
The AMEX Qantas
Premium credit card automatically credits 5,000 points to your account
with your very first purchase using the American Express credit card.
And, for your first-ever purchase of Qantas Services in Australia, you
will receive another 2,500 points.
You also get travel
insurance, purchase protection, refund protection, and online fraud
protection with your AMEX Qantas Premium credit card. Travel insurance
includes: transport accident cover (up to $200,000); medical
emergencies (up to $2,500,000); travel inconvenience (up to $200 for
delayed flights); baggage, money and documents cover (up to $5,000 for
loss or damage); and travel cancellation cover (up to $7,500 for
cancelled trips).

Premium Credit Card?
The AMEX
Qantas Premium Credit Card is open to a resident or citizen of
Australia over 18 years of age, has good credit rating, and earns a
minimum of $40,000 per annum.
When you fill out the
AMEX card application, be sure to indicate your Qantas Frequent Flyer
Number to ensure that you become eligible to earn and redeem Qantas
points.
The Amex card
application will also require your employer�s address or
accountant details (for the self-employed), driver�s licence
information, and details of other credit cards for balance transfer
transactions.
